Will 3D TV save Television?

It was invented in the 50s to save the cinema from television but will it save television from new technologies?

1. RU nuts? It's an extension of TV, and while it's a FAD right now, it will depend on whether it's economical, and SUPPORTED. Now don't think 3D TV hasn't been tried, They did it back in 85, and Samsung and Mitsubishi DLP models are already 3D ready...you just gotta buy the controller, glasses and the one or two experimental DVDs for your 3D experience. It's ALL ABOUT SUPPORT. Why do you think Blu Ray won out. Television doesn't need saving...
2. save television from what ? 3d is a novelty
3. It will enhance what TVs are already capable of, by giving it that extra dimension. For now, most of us are in awe of HD and blu-ray.
