PC making a horrible crackly sound out off headphones and speakers?

about a week ago, my graphics card stopped working, it dint blow up or anything i just failed.... at the same time my sound suddenly went crackly. I removed my graphics (8800GTS 640mb) and switched to onboard graphics in hope that maybe t was the 3D sound accelerator or ssomething... but no its still done it, i have even just removed all sound drivers and it is still crackling.... i have no idea what to do... underneath the crackling you can vaguely hear the sounds.

1. go to sound speech audio in control panal > sound > properties > change the sampling rate
2. I suggest you ask a technician to help you out,but i think the guy who answered your question is a much better way:)
