Can you watch 3D movies with just a regular DVD player?

When I buy Avatar when it comes out I want to be able to watch it in 3D. Can I do that with a regular DVD player? And they can show 3D on regular DVD's too right?

1. No, there's no home technology yet for 3D. It will never come to DVD, but should arrive on Blu-ray next year. You'll have to upgrade your TV though. Sorry.
2. No, you have to have a blue ray dvd player. It will never come out on normal dvd. Sorry, bub, cause they're expensive, too!
