Can anyone tell me of a good 3d modeling software?

I need it to be free download, and not very hard to make models, but still being able of making good looking models and not something lame.

3. go to blender.org. the program is free and open source. you can find tons of tutorials through google on using the program itself along with creating models, lighting, character rigging, and textures. ive used it for about 2 years and love it more than 3ds max (mostly because its free).
4. There a shitload of those around. Google "CAD" or "3d" and they'll show up. They're all very expensive and take many hours to master.
