Where can I find interesting Photoshop Elements 8 tutorials?

I've done several searches and a few pop up that I've checked out but they never go beyond beginning stages. Then those that are what I want [lighting effects, perfect extracting tips, artist renderings, etc] they are using tools only in photoshop CS. Do you know of a wicked site for Elements that is flying below the radar? Please help. TIA!

  1. i'd search deviantart.com
  2. Alibony has some good ones. Some have more pizzazz than others but you can always use two or more of them on the same image http://www.alibony.com/pse/index.php Here's another good site: http://graphicreporter.com/tutorials/elements_tutorials.html If you're beyond the beginning stage, save your pennies for a couple of books. I like Philip Andrews' Advanced Photoshop Elements series but his APE for 8 isn't out yet. There is lots of information about using the tools, filters, etc. beyond the beginning stage. There's also information re plugins and actions and other add ons. http://www.amazon.com/Philip-Andrews/e/B001I9QI4Y/ref=sr_tc_2_0 Also, if you feel comfortable with the program, look for older Lark Books "Photoshop Elements Drop Dead Lighting Techniques" and "Photoshop Elements Drop Dead Fantasy Techniques". The screenshots will look different and some of the tools will be in different places but the newer versions of Elements still have the old tools, Adobe's just tossed a bunch of new tools in with them. There's also a very old book, Photoshop Elements 2 Special Effects, that I've used from 4 to 8 with no problems. There used to be a lot of fun Photoshop and Elements books but they rarely publish them now. http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-Elements-Fantasy-Techniques-Photography/dp/1579907997/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1262981580&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-Elements-Lighting-Techniques-Photography/dp/1579909744/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1262981580&sr=1-4 If you really feel comfortable with the program and want a challenge, try some Photoshop tutorials. It's fun trying to come up with workarounds that really work;-p
