I am planing to buy a new PC which I won't have to upgrade for 4-5 years. Is this a good configuration and is it worth paying 9000$ ? - Yes, you would have a very speedy computer if you got that computer. You wouldn't need to upgrade for quite a long time.
- Most servers don't cost that much. Your math really isn't adding up. You should be able to buy a system with a 4-5 year life span easily for less than $2000 depending on what you are going to use it for (gaming, business, etc.). However, in 4 or 5 years your operating system will change at least once and will likely require higher system requirements. Realistically the computer you buy today will be obsolete in a year.
- If you have the use for all that and you can afford it. Otherwise, HELL NO!
- How does this add up to 9000$? Where are you getting this total price from. If you pieced it out on newegg, your looking at about half that.
- In two years all theess sheeznet will cost half the price. So is it worth it Hell to the noo.
- I would never pay that much for any computer, i dont think theres much performance increase over paying $2000 But anyway: I would get a bigger hdd. You will soon need more space when you start downloading all your films music etc. Plenty of RAM, that will probably still be too much in 5 years time. Great graphics card but will probably need replacing in 3 years or so if your a hardcore gamer- an easy process tho, and a replacement will be $150-200. I would wait for Intels 6cell processors which arnt too far away. As youve bought everything top end componants, I would expect theyd have a shorter lifespan than mainstream componants.
- I really don't think it is worth 9 grand. If you have the money then spend away but its a bit ridiculous in my opinion. You could build (or find I guess) a very high performance $2,000-$3,000 PC that would do you good for 4 or 5 years.
- i will have to agree with everyone else it is a really nice system and it should do plenty for any user, and last a really long time without upgrade, but can deffinetly be built cheaper
- If money is no factor sure, go for it. If it is at all, then this is not something I would do. I spent 1200 on my rig and I guarantee it will last me 3-4 years with minimal upgrades.
- no way just spend a grand and a half and you will have a brill pc 9 grand is insane plus then you can upgrade it if you want to ( u wount need to )
