How much is an interior design cost $/sqft?

How much cost interior design per sqfoot , that contains all constructions cads, 3d models,hand drawings and material and furniture searching?

1. Most designers charge by the hour not by the square foot. Typically between 50-100 per hour depending on extent of design. Some designers may be less but then make a percentage on the purchases (a kick back from the supplier) or they purchase the components then sell them to you with an upcharge. A single room can take anywhere from 10 hours to 80 hours... depends on how decisive the decision maker is and again the extent of work. If you hire the designer to oversee the installation or contractors as well they will be on site to assure that everything is completed as planned and are also available to trouble shoot if there are any issues that arise. Some designers will extend thier discount to the client. That means that they are paid strictly by the hour and make no profit on what they specify. This type of designer will extend any discounts to the client. Often the discount offset the design fees. Best advise : find someone that you "click" with. If you do not feel positive that they have the vision you are looking for - move on... Michele
