Why dont my Real D 3D glasses work when i try to watch something in 3d online?

I went to see avatar and got the black glasses. could anyone tell me where i can find videos that i can watch in 3d?

1. You cant, you need a special tv for the real d glasses to work.
2. In the theater they use one polarized light wave for all the left eye images and a second different polarized light wave for all the right eye images. Then each lens blocks and unblocks the two light waves so each eye only gets one image, not two. Your television was not made and can not do two light waves. So they are having to go with field sequential 3d that uses the shutter glasses that open and close for home 3d, but it looks just like polarized 3d in the theaters. You will have to buy the equipment to do home 3d when it is available.
