Is 3D tv worth waiting for, or should i just get a new LED TV now?

Im in the market for a new tv, what does everyone think about the 3d technology. Should I wait and see what happens, or will it be a gimick and just go get a new LED TV...I probably wont buy for another 10 years after this one...

1. it wouldn't hurt to wait a couple more months to see where 3D tv will take place.. but most new LED tv out now are compatible with 3D filters... as long as the tv has at least 120Hz.
2. Observing the consumer electronics market so far, what i would suggest is, go & get a TV with latest technology avaiable now. Technology changes faster now a days. If you calculate the average life of a LCD TV, its 7 to 8 years (theoratically). Let's consider it to be 10 years. Tech can change a lotttt in 10 years!. But, 3D tech is not debuted in the market yet!... so, is it worth waiting? think... Also consider the fact that if at all it comes soon, prices will be very high!. and will be dropped to half in the next 4-5 years when you are ready to buy one after you get bored of your LED(if you buy now). See what happened to LCD prices?! dropped to 1/3 of the prices when it launched as new technology a 6-7 years back... so, go & buy a new LED :-) enjoy it fully! good luck
