3D - 2

How do i know if my PC screen is equipped with Stereoscopy(3D)?

i have just bought the game, James Cameron's Avatar, which you can play in 3D but it states that your Computer screen must be equipped with Stereoscopy. But i am not should if my screen has got it, so was just wondering how you would find that out? Cheers Steve

  1. Google the name of your monitor is the simplest way to know. But i'm going to assume it doesn't, because most home computer screens don't have the ability to show things in 3D (new top of the line ons would i assume)
  2. No, your computer is not equipped for 3D stereoscopy. For 3D Stereoscopy to work, one needs a set of nVidia's 3DVision stereoscopic shutter glasses, a video card capable of using the aforementioned 3DVision shutter glasses, and a display capable of receiving 120Hz video signals over DVI / HDMI. Obviously your computer has none of those things, otherwise you would know.
