What monitor should i get ? for gaming?

hi all i really need some help i have preorderd my pc the specs are antec 1200 i7 920 6 gig ram at 1600mhz new fermi 100 g/card ( on pre order ) all in costing a little under 2k£ But what i need to know is what kind of monitor should i get ? my range is 200 - 400£ i can go higher if i must. i was told the Samsung package with the 3d glasses is a good choice? or is a hd tv better? any advice will be appreciated.

1. I'm a gamer,my monitor is a 20" LG flatron wide. Resonably priced,and good performance.
2. forget the 3d stuff. won't work without a killer sound system. get some 23-24" monitor, LCD stick to a well known brand recommended res, 1920x1080 or 1920x1050 or how about a 32" 1080 HD LCD TV, around $400 (200£) new LED tech not that impressive.
