want to make a scene with 3D sound. any ideas (more details provided).?
hi. I've got a kind of presentation where I'll be discussing "the sound in 3D". I'd like to make a "scene" where I illustrate the 3D effect of sound. this means that the listener will hear sound coming from different corners and he'll be able to identify the source of each sound. I have no technical problems with that. but the problem is that I don't know what the scene will be. should it be something in nature with water and birds sounds, or maybe film myslef (and my partner) and make a special montage, or or or...... I really need somthing special that will be interesting to watch. any ideas will be highly appreciated thanks Hey Vince M ! thanks, this wa really helpful. to say the truth, I already thought of those ideas, and I even thought of the idea of making a battlefield presentation with sounds of bombs and stuff. But do you think we can produce anything even more special, I means something that will guarantee the full mark? hehe. Anyway, you'll certainly be chosent as the best answer, but please don't hesitate add details or contact me about any really special idea we can do. thanks!

- Here are some simplistic example that you can develop further for your project. A set of sound making subjects, say dogs, cats or birds, where one makes sound from one corner of the room and then another one from another location of the room Or, a situation where the sound is tracked as it "moves from one side to another. Say, a race car coming from the right and moves to the left. And yes, it could be as simple as you and a partner having a conversation from opposite sides of the room. For a piece of added drama and effect, at the end of your conversation, a third voice could pipe in from the rear. To demonstrate the effect this 3D sound has on the audience, you could set up a video camera before your presentation, to capture members of your audience as they move thier heads back and forth, to follow the sources, using only the audible cues from your subjects. Then you can play back a portion of that video, making the point that THEY respond to those cues without being traught or trained to. The point will be made by thes simple set ups, but the entertainment value will depend on your own creative presentation of these scenarios. Good luck and have fun.
