what is the difference in animation 2d and 3d?
what is the difference in 2d animation and 3d animation? which institute is good for getting trained in Mumbai?

- 2D is any object that just has 2 sides for example the paper is 2D the 3D is any object that you has more than 2 sides like a box its 3D but of course this is the simple answer that i can give you for example the animation movies like ice age is 3D animation...
- 2D animation doesn't involve third dimension called depth We can observe only width and height of objects So it is difficult display rotation of objects about y-axis in 2D However thees things r easy in 3D But 2D animation gives more comic look when compared to 3D animation. And technically speaking 2D animation requires tools like FlashMX,toon-boom etc where as 3D animation requires Maya,3D max etc
