3D Ultrasound?
I was just wondering if the 3d Ultrasounds are internal or external? Is there such a thing as an internal ultrasound? If so what do they show? My doctor has never mentioned internal ultrasounds, but a friend mentioned that her colleague has had a couple, and we are very similar in weeks... Thanks! :)

- i've had a 2 vaginal ultrasounds. i'm pregnant with twins, so they are keeping a close eye on me! i'm pretty sure that the 3D is external, though. but don't get worried if you have to have a vaginal ultrasound. it doesn't hurt at all, maybe just a little uncomfortable. best of luck!
- I had a 3d ultrasound and it was external.
- There is an internal, it is a wand like thing the stick up there, and you can see everything. This type is best for when you are not very far a long. I had two done. The 3d is external and recommend for between 28 - 32 weeks.
- Some are internal and some are external... depends on how far along you are I got a internal one when i was like 2 or 3 months it gets a better view rather because of the baby being so small... but had a external one (going over the abdomen) later on...they are really cool though im glad i have some cuz some are just black and white and you cant really see what the baby looks like but you can see exactly what she looks like....its good very the babybook....<3 Internal ultrasounds- are uncomfortable but they dont hurt External ones- they have a handheld device thing doesnt hurt
