  1. Not sure on cost but insurances don't cover them yet as they are not "medically necessary" shame cuz I want one too.
  2. go to babypreview.com congratulations! you will love the 3d/4d. the packages usually start out at $75. insurance doesnt cover it.
  3. Insurance won't cover them unless your hospital/doctor has a 3D machine and that's what they use as a standard. Try searching for 3D/4D ultrasound on google along with the name of your closest major city and you should be able to find a clinic that does them. They typically cost from $100 to a few hundred dollars depending on the package you purchase.
  4. Insurance only covers it if your doctor orders the ultra sound. I would ask your doctors nurse where you can get a 3D, maybe you can ask your doctor to order one. I'm sure they do them in Madison, but I live in southern WI and am not sure where they have the 3D machines around here. By the way 3D's are really neat!!! They are so detailed.
  5. i'm not sure on the insurance part, but you could just go to your local hospital or wherever your having baby and ask them if they have the machine and how much it will cost to get it done....i am from oklahoma and my sister works at the hospital and she just had a baby and she said that they only cost around 100-200....not cheap but definitely not expensive either.....especially if you really really want one....depending on your budget, save up from your checks and ask family to help out too....tell them that is part of what you want for a baby shower gift.....or if your birthday is coming up soon b4 baby is born....
  6. I got mine done at a private clinic here in Canada. Insurance doesn't cover them and they cost anywhere from $75 - 400 but I think they are totally worth every penny. I got 2 dvd's because I had to go twice (first time baby was hiding) and a lot of pics but only paid once. I definitely recommend it if possible.
