  1. should run fine, though the loading screens going from the neighborhood may take a while.
  2. i would expect so load it and try the main thing that lets you down is that graphics card a geforce would had been much better but i guess you have to work with what your've got hopefully it will work when your playing you could always put it onto lower graphics quality option to play faster
  3. http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Games/Pages/featGames.aspx here go to this, at the top toolbar go to the game advisor, scan your pc, and then find sims 2, and itll tell you if you can handle it. it sounds harder then it really is, its just 2 seconds. so uhm looks to me like graphics card could use a upgrade, but thats it i think it should run fine.
  4. I have some experience with this game - its not too graphics intensive and doesnt need an incredibly fast processor either. The short answer is yes you will definitely be able to play it but only on very low or low graphics settings (else it will be so slow just panning around the house will take a few minutes). This means it will look very ugly and grainy and may destroy the whole experience for you (as the sims really doesnt do low graphics settings well). The load times should be good though - your processor is no slouch - and load times are not dependant on graphics. Im not sure where you got your pc from but there is a good chance you can buy a new graphics card and fit it in - its really quite simple. A graphics card costing just 30 or 40 pounds would be enough to completely transform your game. I recommend a geforce 7300 as a minimum. Should be very cheap.
  5. It will run fine. I have very similar stats and I have all the expansions with tons of custom content and my game runs fine. The only problem you might have a problem with is having no 3D acceleration. You might think about investing in a better graphics card.
  6. Your spec is fine to run sims2 as long as you have windows 98/2000/ME or XP (Vista is probably fine) and directx9 or above, which is on the disk anyway. I would upgrade the graphics thou...;-)
  7. should do bit graphic card might need upgrading
  8. It'll run great. In comparison, my brother runs it on a 1ghz Compaq with 384mb ram and a 64mb grafix card. One tip it'll run better on XP if you can than Vista but it shouldnt matter too much. Nice PC!
  9. That sounds more than fine, my computer has half your ram and runs pratcially anything
  10. On board graphics are never going to be able to manage games at the higher settings, and this will share your onboard Ram, reducing its effectiveness as well. The LX2000 does have specific issues with its graphic capabilities as quoted here: "the integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics chip and DVI-to- HDMI conversion isn't even capable of driving the 26in TFT at its native 1,366 x 768 resolution. In fact, the TV's manual actually states that the only supported DVI input resolutions are 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and 1,024 x 768 - none of which match the wide aspect ratio of the panel. It means that, whatever resolution you choose, characters are fuzzy and vary in colour across the screen. In reality, you might get away with photos and videos, which remain watchable, but it's a far cry from a 720p signal supplied by an HDMI-equipped source."
