Your top 5 animated movies?
Animated meaning drawn like a cartoon or anime (though it can be more realistic and mature), not 3D movies (like Monsters Inc, UP, etc). Which animated movies have the most breathtaking scenary? Most amazing directory? Coolest scenes? My number 1 favorite has got to be Sword of the Stranger. Followed by a slew of Hayao Miyazaki movies. ;-) Best answer goes to best explanations of WHY you love those movies!

- 1. Princess Mononoke 2. My Neighbor Totoro 3. The Fox and the Hound 4. Howl's Moving Castle 5. Grave of the Fireflies The Miyazaki Films are just great. It's almost impossible to explain, but I suppose I'll try. I think it's because they have such beautiful artwork. Everything looks so realistic but at the same time fanciful, imaginative and beautiful. The imagery is so striking and colorful that it sure won't be forgotten any time soon. They also have great stories and believable characters. Good plots and characters are vital for making an enjoyable movie and every one of the Miyazaki films has that. Everything is just so unique. The Miyazaki films also have morals and messages that are important to learn and live by. As for The Fox and the Hound, this movie is just really nostalgic to me. It was my very favorite movie when I was little (like 2-3) and gives me good memories. But more than that, I love the story. The whole forbidden friendship thing is really neat. I also love the way it's drawn and how it's against hunting and stuff. For some reason, this movie always makes me cry, and anything that does that goes down as great in my book.
