What would 4d look like for the 4d observer?
When a 3d observer looks a 2d world from a 3d perspective, he would be able to put his finger down inside and object withoout going through any boudaries. If a 3d observer were to observe his own world in this way, he would have to move through one of the dimensional boudaries. Like he would not be able to touch his pancreas without opening his body up and going through the boundary of his skin. In the same light, a 4d observer would be able to do this without opening the 3d observers body. He would be able to touch every molecule of 3d observers body. Now, how would a 4d observer view his own world and whoat would his 5th dimensional boudary be? (our 4th dimensional boundary is spacetime).

- I consider humans as being 4 dimensional and existing in a 4d world...unfortunately we cannot fully interact with the 4th dimension (I guess we are temporal retards)......but that aside...... Your 2d and 3d examples are correct because they are both physical dimensions. However, a 4d observer would not be able to touch every molecule of a 3d world which he was observing........this is because the 4th dimension is temporal rather than physical....he would still have physical boundaries. He would be able to interact with a 3d world in the same physical way as we would, but he could do it in the past or future....which we cannot unfortunately....we are stuck in our present...moving ever forward in the temporal plane. Physically, he would also be able to interact with his 4d world in the same way as a 3d observer interacts with their 3d world (and it would simply appear normal to him). Temporally, he could interact with his 4d world in the same way as he could interact with a 3d world...he could travel in time, but would remain constrained by physical barriers. 5d.....well.....what is your definition of the 5th dimension ? Probably somewhat different to mine !!!
- Normal
- We don't know and cannot describe it except my analogy: Humans are only capable of percieving and thinking in 3 dimensions. The closest answer is to make the analogy to a 3 dimensional being interacting with a 2 dimensional universe, or a 2 dimensional being interacting with a 1 dimensional universe.
- pretty sure we've talked about all this i was just going through your questions... lol interesting answers out there though! by the way it's "london"
