3D - 2

What's a good free low end 3d software to start out with?

I'm an artist and would like to try 3d modeling the legal way and don't want to download a high end program illegally because I'd also like to include any good work I do into a portfolio. Also my computer's specs can't handle a high end program anyway. I have a 1.46 GHz Celeron and 446 MB of ram and an ATI radeon express 200m video card.

  4. Maya Personal Learning Edition 8.5. Although this is really for learning, as Maya has put on watermarks on digitally rendered images, and disabled a few features but it's really good. They distribute it for free. There's the link. You can hit the print screen button if you want images of your rendered work. There's an extensive tutorial provided for this. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=7639525
