Are there any side affects to 3D ultra sound pictures? (if so, what?)?
I'm expecting and I was looking forward to maybe getting 3D ultra sound pictures done for the experience and for a photo book. But then I was told by someone that a doctor had warned her not to get it done because the rays were too strong for the baby and had a possibility of getting eye problems. Let me know if you have also heard or have read any factual information in regard to the 3D ultra sound.

- None whatsoever I've never heard of an eye problem following a 3D
- I wouldnt worry. Read this article for more information about 3D ultrasounds and how they differ from 2D: http://www.expectantmothersguide.com/library/newjersey/ultrasound.htm
- I've never heard of eye problems resulting from use of 3D ultrasound ... or, any issues for that matter. I had a diagnostic 3D ultrasound performed at a perinatal testing center at my local hospital. I doubt my doctor would write me an order for an ultrasound or an accredited perinatal testing center would perform an ultrasound that was dangerous.
