3D TV????????????????
Can you install 3D foil in a TV if it's 3D ready? Are all new TV's capable of good 3D projection?

- 3D foil? If a TV is 3D ready then all you need to do is feed it a 3D source (buy a 3D capable BluRay player). A 3D source with a 3D ready TV = 3D. Its just like an HD Ready TV. If you feed it HD then it plays back HD (it just probably doesn't have a built in tuner). Not all new TVs are 3D TVs, so no. All of the manufacturers have many lines or series within their brand. Only some lines/series were made 3D capable this year when they came out. So you have to read the spec sheets carefully to see if you are buying one which is 3D capable or not. Typically only the top lines were given 3D abilities (so the most expensive sets). You might want to hold off anyway. There is a lot of R&D going on in 3D panels right now. There is a strong push for a 3D panel which will not require you to use 3D glasses. You just sit and watch and its in 3D (when feeding it 3D content). Some are skeptical about how well this will work out, but development for it is moving ahead. So within 5 years you could see a complete reinvention of the 3D HDTV. Will you be willing to pay for a 3D HDTV again that soon?
