Is it possible to watch a 3D movie on a normal HD tv?
Recently I purchased a full HD 46 inch Samsung tv. I also have a PS3. I read that PS3 will soon be able to play 3D movies and I was wondering whether you need a 3D tv to watch the movies or just the 3D Blu-ray player?

- I tried watching a 3D movie on my HD TV once. It really hurt my eyes and it wasn't very impressive. I've also tried out the 3D TVs at Best Buy, and they're not worth it.
- Yes a 3D tv is required, Sony is releasing a 3D tv. I don't know the specs on it but its Sony so Im sure its badass.
- Yes, you need a 3D TV. The 3D TVs have special electronics inside to drive the shutter glasses you have to wear. Without the glasses, the video will play on your standard TV, but it will look pretty ugly.
- It has to be a 3D set.
- No you will need a 3D ready TV. Brands like Panasonic released their 3D TV (VT20 model 46" ) Ps3 will be ready but you will need to ensure it is connected to internet either via ethernet or wireless to ensure you get an update. Which i think is good but 3d TV's not cheap. i work for a TV rental company and we have em in stock. amazing to be honest but admittedly 3D content is limited but within year or so they will grow fast! Thanks
- Sorry, you need a new 3DTV(and glasses hardware) to use any of the new 3DTV sources from PS3, Blu-ray, or 3D tv channels.
