- of course it has to be a 3DTV my HDTV wouldnt play 3D since its not compatible
- you need both a 3-D tv that supports either hdmi 1.3 or 1.4 and shutter glasses to play 3-D games .
- Just because the PS3's firmware gives you the ability to play 3D games doesn't mean that your TV will be able to process the images in 3D. In order to play 3D games you most definitely need a 3D TV (they are very expensive and they are not worth it in my opinion).
- Well, to play the games in 3D, of course you will need a 3DTV with 3d-Glasses. But you will still be able to play the games normally on your TV.
- (Everyone has said it but...) You do need a 3DTV & Shutter glasses to play 3D games. There are some 3DTVs that are below £1000! So there not that expensive (HD use to be more then a grand!)
- I have a 3dTV, PS3 & shutter glasses. You need all of the items for it to work properly. After the firmware update, when you go into the display settings of your PS3, it will recognize if you have a 3D capable TV. The shutter glasses are unique by the manufacturer in the infrared signal transmitted by the TV, so simply having the glasses won't work because it isn't paired to a source emitter.
