How can I watch 3d tv through directtv?

I understand that there is a certain channel that broadcasts in 3d, but do i have to have a particular type of tv for this to work?

1. You need one of the new Samsung or Panasonic 3D HDTVs and its special matching glasses. Nothing else will work, at least not yet.
2. Yes, you need one of the new 3D tvs to use any of the new 3D channels and blu-rays.
