What's the difference between HD and 3d TV?
Also is there a disc format for 3d TV like there is Blueray for HD?

- Its just a normal hd tv that has 3d built into it so if you had 3d cmpatible blu ray player and bought a 3d enabled movie say avatar then you can watch it in 3d, thats if you have got the 3d glasses as well.It will still do what standard hdtvs do as well.
- HD is high definition, meaning the picture has maximum clarity. 3D is three dimensions, meaning the picture has a sense of depth. The new Samsung and Panasonic 3D TVs will show 3D-encoded Blueray discs in 3D.
- If you look at the screen real close you will see tiny little squares that make up the picture, on a big screen tv the squares are bigger and more noticeable. Hd meaning High definition the squares are smaller so on a big screen tv they are not as noticeable. So the picture looks clearer and sharper. A 3d tv is one where you have to wear the glasses so images look like they are behind the screen or out in front of the screen. A totally different thing. Now you can have a 3d tv that has high definition or is hd. i believe that all the 3d tvs coming out are hd.
