Do I need a 3D Tv to watch 3D content?

I have 32' LG HD TV and a Sony PS3 Slim. I heard that Sony will have an update this Summer for the PS3, that will make PS3s compatible with 3D content. Will I need to buy a new TV to play 3D Blu-ray movies? How much will the 3D glasses cost me? I only want to watch movies in 3D, not cable. My model number TV is: 32LG30 Thank You!

2. your TV's model is LG30, mine is LH40 and mine is newer than your TV, and my TV is not 3d ready. So the answer is no.
