- Well for now yes. However, there are autostereoscopic 3d televisions that do allow you to watch a 3d movie without glasses. It uses lenticular 3d like you see in those post cards where it looks 3d without the glasses. If you rub you finger over it it has tiny ridges or bumps on the surface. Anyway on the tv half the pixels angle slightly to the left and the other half angle slightly to the right so when you sit so far away from the tv each eye gets one image or the other. Some businesses have had them on display for about 2 years now for advertisements. You will see them for home use in about a year.
