Is it worth purchasing a 3D TV? What are the pros and cons?

I recently watched Avatar: The Last Airbender in 3D, and I was wondering if there were any differences between the 3D in theaters or on a 3D TV.

1. 3d tv's are good my best option for you would be to go to curry's or salfridges and you can use a 3d tv there, they are good yes, but them problem iwth them is you have to wear glasses to watch the tv and they dont come cheep the ones in currys cost around £100 and the tv;s are exspencive aswell you could get a 70" tv for the price of a standard sized 3d one, but back to the glasses there something esle to lose aint break like the remote and you cant see the tv without them its all fuzzy and moveing around, but go to currys like i said and check it out and see what you think
2. I Dont Think So Its Worth Spending This Much Money Coz to have a 3d Effect U need a perfect 3d Movie and 3d Glasses 4 Samsung 3d led the 3d glasses Cost a fortune !! better going for a normal lcd tv
3. 3DTVs work a little differently than the average 3D movie screen, but the 3D effect is just as good. Movie theaters use a system with cheap plastic glasses and a special screen and projection system. The current 3DTVs can't use the same system, so they instead use a different type of electronic glasses. Pros of 3DTV: life-like picture, watch your own 3D Blu-rays at home instead of $10+ per movie at a theater, 3D tv channels Cons: Cost, have to wear glasses, limited content(but that will change), may cause headaches or eyestrain So is it worth it? Personally, I think it is.
