can I watch any movie on 3D TV, with active 3d glasses? or do they have to be 3d movies only?

When I say 3DTVs, I mean new 3d HD TVs that are starting to come out now. I just need to understand the technology.

2. 3D is the wave of the future as far as entertainment products are concerned. Just look out how many new movies are coming out in 3D as well as 2D. Look at the top movie from this year Alice in Wonderland 3D http://www.ispymovie.com/alice-in-wonderland
3. For the best 3d the video source will need to be in 3d, like a 3d dvd made for the shutter glasses. Now some of the 3d tv's will be able to convert 2d to 3d as it plays. I have heard people say it looks great and others that it is not as good as something made in 3d. I suspect the 2d to 3d conversion will be good enough, better than the 3d format with the two colored glasses anyway.
