Anybody buy a 3D tv yet, what are they like?

I am gonna buy another big screen tv soon, i want to know if i should choose 3D or not, i heard sony ps3 is going 3D, i would buy one just for that reason alone, if i thought it was worth it !!! Thanx for you answers.

1. Buying a 3d TV right now is a bit silly as there isn't any 3d material out there. So you'll just have a very nice normal 2d TV. Personally, I'd wait. I think we're going to see something similar to the competition between blu-ray and hd-dvd. There are at least two different - and incompatible - standards for 3d glasses out there and it's just not worth upgrading at this time. Even though Sony has said they'll be upgrading the PS3 to 3d, I'd wait. There aren't any plans for any 3d games, and once again you'll face the 3d glasses problem.
2. sometimes on the older t.v.s or should i say ,back in the day we would have to turn the channel on the t.v. to channel 3 or 4.try that after you hook the coax cable back up to the t.v..if this does not work you may have to buy universal remote.take down the serial and model number of the t.v.call an electronics store and should be able to give you the brand of the t.v.sothat you can enter the program code into the universal remote.
