CPU performance during 3d model rendering?

i use kerkythea and revit to create 3d models of buildings and render architectural perspective images of buildings and interiors. whenever i render, i set them to use all 4 cores of my CPU (to speed up the rendering process) so the CPU usage in the task manager is expected to shoot up to 100% as soon as i start rendering my question is... if this 100% CPU usage is prolonged for hours and hours (because some renderings i do may take up to 5 hours) will this damage or wear out my CPU? what component of the PC specifically? and is it ok to continue with minor multitasking work (ex. microsoft word or internet browsing) even if the CPU usage is already at 100%? thanks in advance! note: PC specs -Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz -Memory (RAM) 2.00 GB -Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT -Primary hard disk 138GB Free (176GB Total) -OS Windows7 Ultimate

  1. any electronic part has life . what I mean , as much as you use your CPU or Mother board or ... as much as their life will get less . but the most important thing you have to check ,is CPU temperature . it should be less than 50 degrees , and the less temperature you can get the better for CPU . I advise to install a powerful cooling system for CPU . for more info : http://www.pantherproducts.co.uk/Articles/CPU/CPU%20Cooling.shtml hope this help ...
