Has anyone had a 4D ultra sound done at about 15 weeks to find out the sex?

My doctor is doing a ultra sound tomorrow at 12 weeks, she will not do another until about 25 weeks. I do not want to wait that long to find out the sex! We have a place that does 4D ultra sounds that guarantee the sex at 14 weeks, with great reviews. Anyone ever done this? What was the experience like? If you have done it, were they accurate on the sex?

1. Hi, yes you may be able to find out the sex at 15 weeks by 4d. About your second scan you will have your abnormalty scan at 20 weeks, not 25 weeks. So that is 5 weeks earlier than you thought!! Good luck I hope you get what you want! x
2. Its your call. But at 14 weeks the genitals are barely formed yet. So although they might be able to get a good guess (better then the 2d ultrasound) it may still be inaccurate. I'd say at least wait till 18 weeks, then have the 3d done. That way its a bit more accurate and you can be more confident with what they tell you. I had the gender determined at 20 weeks, am going in for a 3d ultrasound at 26 weeks and 32 weeks. I'm asking that they confirm the gender for me at both appointments just to make sure. But I think its way more worth it to get it done later so you get better pics. Even 18 weeks is better than 14.
3. The 3d/4d ultrasound place I went to said they wont do 3d/4d till after 24 weeks. I wouldn't spend that kinda money that early we paid 165 for ours at 30 weeks. You could see if you can find a 3d place that does 2d ultrasounds for gender determination which is cheaper.
