I am home schooled. Does 3D modeling count?
Hi I am home schooled. I am making 3D stuff in Google Sketch. I was wondering if that counts as a course. I am currently building a model of my house, (architectural designing) and I make like 3d designs of stuff (treasure chest, etc;) and I was wondering that if that counts as school. @Rickey I was sick with the flu and I ran out of sick days so they kicked me out of public school so I wouldn't make the school look bad by failing.

- Im sorry i cant help that but im sure someone will i just wanted to say. your lucky, i wish i was homeschooled, regular school sucks
- Yes it counts as a course. One of the benifits of homeschool is that you can study whatever you want. Its a design class.
- Yes. Anything you study counts when you're hoeschooled. When I was homeschooled (I'm in college now), I did 3D modeling, programming in MOO, robotics, cooking, fencing, guitar, musical theater, graphic design, and a lot of other uncommon electives. This set me apart from other students when I was applying to universities, and that gave me a bit of an edge on the competition.
- It certainly can count! You should have your parents check to make sure you are meeting your state law's requirements though. There are several states that would require you to keep a portfolio of your work, and a couple other states want you to document the hours you spend on it. If you live in a state that wants you to keep track of hours, 150 hours = a regular 1 credit or 1 year class, but some lab classes might be a little higher. If you think that you want to go to college, it would be good to keep a portfolio of your best work even if it is not required where you live.
