When will the Schutt Ion 4D helmet be released?

I wanted a new helmet to use for next year's football season after I suffered a concussion this past year. I want to know when this helmet will be released and also how much it may cost... Thanks for your insight!

1. It looks like you may need to use a different helmet for the time being. Schutt won't start selling the helmet to the public until 2008-2009. It's probably going to cost about $250. Keep in mind, no helmet can prevent head injuries.
2. I just received a newsletter from Schutt Sports... in it, they state the ION 4D will start shipping to local dealers in March 2008. So, that's good news for you. I also know that there will be quite a few of the IONs on the field for the two national high school all-star games this Saturday - the Army game and the ESPN/Under Armour game. Both are on national TV - NBC and ABC, respectively. I think Gary is right about the price.
