Why won't the 3D on my TV work?

I downloaded the MLB:The Show 3D Demo for my PS3 and it says it can't detect any 3D. My TV has 3D capabilities and I have it in 1080p. Also why does it downgrade to 720p whenever I try to play it and why does the sound and picture keep going out in when its in 1080p. The TV its hooked up to is a Mitsubishi 73"

1. The 3D that you are trying to play is the new 3D format. The Mitsubishi TV, although it's new, uses the checkerboard format of 3D. You'll need some type of adapter to get the TV to display the 3D content.
