Will Downloading EA Download Manager and Content Slow the Sims 2 Double Deluxe Down?

I have the Sims 2 Double Deluxe and System Requirements Lab says the game runs excellently. I wanted to download EA Download Manager and some content. I want to know if it will slow my game/ computer down. ATI Radeon series 8500 or better, NVIDIA GeForce series GeForce2 GTS and better You Have: RADEON X300 SE (0x5B60) Features: Minimum attributes of your Video Card Required You Have Video RAM 32 MB 64.0 MB 3D Yes Yes Hardware T&L Yes Yes DirectX version Minimum: 9.0c You Have: 9.0c Sound Card Minimum: Yes You Have: SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Free Disk Space Minimum: 5 GB total for all three games. You Have: 117.6 GB Those are the requirements and what I have, copied from System Requirements Lab. I don't know if I made it clear or not, but the game is already installed and runs great. Those are my current system requirements along with those required. Dunno why I put the ones for the game. The EA Dowload Manager and stuff is what I'm worried about.
