how will I know what version of nvidia will I download?

  1. Are you sure you have a video card? Perhaps it could be graphic chip integrated into your mainboard, as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" doesn't sound too promising. If this is the case, you may not need drivers for it as mainboard drivers should get it covered. If it is a video card or you're not really sure, you should try some diagnostic programs like Everest or etc, it will let you know. Then simply go with the name or series to nvidia site and download what you need.
  2. If you can’t find the right drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at: http://www.best-driver-updater.com/ Also, you can get the driver from their official sites: http://www.nvidia.com/
