How can i use my 3D television?

I have a new HD LCD TV/monitor and its written that it has 3D interlace and 3D comb filter (i do not know what any of this means) and i wanted to know how i can watch films in 3D . do i need special glasses? i have some glasses that i took home from the cinema recently. does it need to be a film made especially in 3D or can one watch anything in 3D thankyou and if anybody knows of any sites where i can watch films in 3D online.

1. Yes you need special glasses, and you can only watch films that were made especially in 3D in order to watch them in 3D on your TV. You can't just watch any old thing in 3D
2. The glasses will work (though naughty of you to take them) but the TV is simply 3D ready They haven't yet started making proper 3D source material. Even DVDs that say 3D use the old fashioned red and blue glasses that make your eyes go funny after 5 minutes. But yes you will have to wait until they start to release specific 3D material
