Can a 3d movie be played on samsung 6 series led tv with a 3d blue ray player?

Is it possible to get the 3d effect of a 3d movie like Avatar in a samsung 6 series LED TV (mine is 46 inch - 100 hertz) when the movie is played in a 3d blue ray player?
