Samsung 3D TV, component cords for Xbox?

We got the TV today and i set it up on the floor to test it out and i have no clue on how to hook up an xbox 360 to it. The red white yellow cords just dont fit onto their holes in the back of the TV. Please help!

1. that is weird, first of course you have to match up the colors then slowly try push it in slowly. if not consider buying a hdmi cable online for your xbox because newer tvs are equipped with hdmi ports and are really simple to plug in. buy online and never at the store. local store prices can go from $30+ online you get them for less than $10 and the quality is generally the same unless you go over 100ft which might before something else im thinking about.
