3D - 2

has anyone had a 4d ultra sound to deteremine the sex of there baby?

If i have the regular ultrasound with my doctor ive been told to wait until 20 weeks, but being anxious i looked up info about 4d ultrasounds and heard you can find out the sex at 16 weeks with one ...anyone done this? thanks!

  1. I have not done this but I have seen the 3d ones that early, it will depend on the position of the baby whether you can tell or not, really. waiting till they are 20 weeks makes it a little easier because they are that much bigger and they can be a little more sure.
  2. Yes, and the 4D is amazing!
  3. nope they can generally tell with the regular one I had a 3-d at 33.5 weeks and it was awesome I think my baby is allready soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute he has a chubby little face!! we couldn't even see his penis but I"ve seen it twice allready it's there !!
  4. Nothing compares to the 4D ultrasound! it's AMAZING! i wish they had these things when i was pregnant w/my first. and it's much clearer than the regular ultrasound. there is NO mistaking a girl for a boy or visa versa. if you want one, go for it! be sure that you keep any copies of the pictures in an album away from direct light or air...they fade terribly when they are left out.
  5. Yes, they are better at determining the sex of the baby. But if you are looking for really cute pictures and a good idea of what your baby is going to look like wait until around 25-28 weeks. I went in at 23 weeks and they could tell me the sex but they couldn't get a shot of the face. I went back at 27 weeks and the pictures were amazing. i saw her yawn, smile, cross her hand in a little pose, and she even gave us the middle finger! They were amazing and my session with the DVD and 15 pictures was only around $150.
  6. My husband and I had a 4d ultrasound done when I was about 24 weeks pregnant. At that time I was told That is might be too early to see the sex of the baby with the 4D equipment. I was about to go away for 3 months and felt that my husband should be there when we found out the sex of our first child. The office we selected was very nice. They spent more time than what we had paid for. It took a while for our baby to remove its hands from between its legs. The tech did her very best to get it to move by gentle shaking my belly. Eventually we were able to see that we were going to have a little boy. We paid for the cheapest package. Unlike the ultrasounds in the hospital we were able to go home with a CD of the entire procedure and we used music from our own CD in the background. I highly suggest you take this sort of package. You can freeze the frame on any picture you want and print it from there.
  7. I actually found out what i was at with a regular 2d ultrasound at 16 weeks ( i paid for it, very impatient i was! ) and I found out I was having a boy... I had a 4d ultrasound later on in my pregnancy and it confirmed it thats for sure...his little thingie was right there for every1 to see! So, theres no need to wait it's all about the baby being in the right position..my lil one was stubborn at first with his legs closed...Good luck!
