i saw this ad of samsung 3D LED TV. what is that exactly?

do you have to wear 3D glasses or something?

1. Yes, the new Samsung and Panasonic 3D TV's require the special glasses that come with the set when you buy it. As for what it is exactly, that's a long story. The short version is that you get 3 dimensional effect like watching Avatar in the theater. The LED's are just the lights that light up the LCD's from behind.
2. You have to wear glasses with any of the 3d tvs being offered at this time when you view a 3d image. Not much 3d stuff available now, so otherwise it's just like a regular LED HD tv.
