Hi if I have HDMI 1.4 3D cable,3D glasses, & Blu-ray/3D disk, in my going to get 3D picture?

Hi I was planning to upgrading my HDMI 1.3a to a new HDMI 1.4 3D cable for my "52" Sony Bravia HDTV/LCD 1080P 120Hz". And also to support both of my PS3 & Xbox 360 consoles . No my Sony Bravia HDTV is not 3D/HDTV & is about 9 months old. If I buy Blu-ray movies that are 3D & video games that are 3D, in my going to get a 3D picture? Even if I use 3D glasses & HDMI 1.4 3D? Do I really need a new 3D/HDTV if I'm planning to do all that? Thank you.

  2. Sorry but NO! No 3D HDTV no 3D picture, even if you have HDMI 1.4, 3D player, 3D glasses, and 3D disk. You still need 3D capable TV.
  3. The only way to watch the new 3DTV content is with a 3DTV. 3DTVs have special hardware that no other tv has such as 120hz inputs. Your old 120hz refresh rate tv only has 60hz inputs and converts it to 120hz to smooth out the motion of the picture. Actual 120hz inputs are needed for 3D because you need at least 60hz per eye(120/2=60) for a smooth 3D picture.
