3D - 2

New 3D movies on DVD?

i went to to alice in wonderland the other day and it was the first new 3D film i have seen where you dont have to waer those stupid cardboard green and red glasses. im sure every one knows by now that they are new plastic glasses tht make ya look stupid but i have to say the film looked that clear tht you would think you could walk into the screen the 3d was great as well and its actually put me off watch certain films in 2D now so my big question is has any one heard if these kind of 3D films and of this quality will we be able to watch them in our own home on your tv in the near future. i think it would be great but dunno if i it will happen.??? will we have to buy new tvs and new players for just for this ???

  1. errr mate yeah. toy story 3d is out shrek 3d is out....at least i think.
  2. In short, yes. But it won't be in DVD. It will be on Blu-ray Disc. A few months ago the movie association that regulates standards picked a 3D format for home television entertainment. Samsung so far is the first company to sell the new Tv's, which have the capability to convert any 2D image to 3D. In two months time a new 3D blu-ray disc player will be sold everywhere as well as the movies. Currently Disney is the first to sign up to release Alice in Wonderland 4 months after it's theatrical release, which they got complaint's about.
