Are there alternatives to watching 3D movies in 2D for people with epilepsy?

My daughter is really psyched about going to see the new Avatar Airbender movie but I have epilepsy and can't watch them. Are there places that show the movie in 2D? Is it watchable without the glasses? It is so annoying that all 4 of the kids movies that are in the theater are in 3D (Toy Story 3, Avatar, Cats & Dogs and Despicable Me)!!! :(

1. Most, if not all theaters, should show the movie in both 2D and 3D. At least by me they do. They have two separate theaters for them. They are watchable without glasses but the colors are blurred and such.
