Converting MDL models to 3d Studio Max 8?

I need a MDL file that I BOUGHT!!!! converted into a .3DS file or .MAX file but the best file type would be .fbx Can someone help me so I can convert it into something that is capable with converting .MDL files to 3D Studio Max 8?

1. wings 3D or blender are the two you will need. Blender is a good editor, Wings is just free version of 3ds max that doesnt work properly, but works as a converter. hope this helps!
