Blender 3d Modelling?

picture a cube that the top vertices in text look like a----b----a. When I highlight "b" and press the hotkey "g" to grab that portion to drag it where i want, it drags the "a"'s as well. How can I grab and move the "b" without moving the "a"s at all? http://img25.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=60033_question_122_431lo.jpg Screenshot I have nothing highlighted but the dot indicated, no extra lines, dots, etc.

 1. Could you put up a screen shot with "b" highlighted, just before you press the g key? And label the vertices that you are talking about in your favorite paint program. Then I could see if you're done something wrong.
 2. You have falloff enabled, you can disable it by either pressing O or it is the button at the bottom of your 3d window that looks like a yellow ring.
 3. I concur with afalldorf. Your fallof tool is enabled. You can tell by the gray ring around the vertix. refer to his post on how to fix it.
