What is a good, simple CAD software for a non professional?

I am thinking of building my own house? What is a CAD software to use? I never used one. Is it hard to use for a lay person?

1. Look at Google Sketchup, it's more powerful than you may think.
2. True Google Sketchup is good, but if you want a true CAD software, go with AutoCAD, cause it's basically the foundation of most software and just look for tutorials on it.
