3D - 2

Why do you need a 3D tv to play 3D games?

I thought it would be a necessity to buy a 3D tv to play games in 3D. But they released a remake of Batman Arkham Asylum in 3D and you can play it on any tv. So why do I have to buy a 3D tv to play Killzone 3 in 3D?

  1. nope..u just need to buy 3 d glasses
  2. Some makers of games make it manditory to buy a tv so they can save money. .others spend more money to make it where you dont have to buy a 3d tv. Sorry if u didnt understand my answer.
  3. There's several ways to do 3D. One involves the red-green glasses (like Batman), the other uses a special TV and active glasses to get a better 3D effect. With Sony pushing their 3DTVs, it makes sense for them to make Killzone 3 use that technology.
  4. Dunno. 3D TVs ain't that good anyway. Coz you have to sit at an accurate angle just to experience the 3D. ask someone to help you with the Game or better yet SUE. Sue the company coz if it sed that it works on any tv then Y would you need a 3D tv? it just don't make sense dose it? some companies lie about what you need and what you DON'T need. they should of sed "ONLY WORKS ON 3D TVS" and not including the phrase"WORKS ON ANY TV" Get a lawyer that gives you 100% compensation(the price you sue the company for) and build a case against why the Lied. hope this helps =)
  5. It's confusing I know. That batman game works in a 3D format that works with any color tv. The technology is called anaglyph. The major downside of that format is the severe ghost images/crosstalk that occurs because the cheap colored lenses don't filter the light properly, and they also distort the natural colors of the picture. The reason for buying a 3DTV is that it uses a much more advanced 3D technology that doesn't distort color and has very little crosstalk/ghost images.
