Are the new 3D games compatable with Nintendo DS lite consoles?

I was just wondering if you play a 3D game on a D.S Lite. Does any one know?

1. According to what I heard they are not compatible. The game card are going to have a slight different shape so they won't fit in to other ds lite game slot.
